Tuesday - student study day (absent)

Thursday - got a new assessment from Isobel in working in the IT Industry, continued on my website in web development, also had a little quiz and now filling in my blog!

Tuesday: Absent,

Thursday:

• We presented our presentations on Job Roles and Attributes Required in Working in the IT Industry.
• We then had Kerry for Web Development and started building our own websites.
• Now we have tutorial and are filling in our blogs!

This week:

• In Customizing Software we have been working on Macros on Microsoft Word and creating templates on Microsoft Excel .
• We have also been working on HTML Code in Web Design. I am now finished ready to go on to making my own website.
• In Working With Others we are nearly finished our Website.

Tuesday 7th October

Today we have been in Isobel's class for half of the day doing our assessment on talking to professionals. We then had Steve for working with others and were separated into groups. We then had Chief for numeracy.

Thursday 9th October

Today we have been working on our virtual machines, we also had a talk with Robert. In web design starting off how to design a website. now we are in tutorial continuing with our blogs and anything else we need to finish off.

We have had another 2 assignments 1 I have completed. We have just had webdesign and we had communication in the IT Industry.

Today I've been in Computer Systems, Tutorial and Web Design.
In computer systems, we used a virtual PC to complete tasks which included Accessibility Options.
In Tutorial, we are uploading to our blogs.
In Web Design, we finished off our assessments and started to plan out a design for a web page.
Nothing overly exciting to read today.

IT has had a big impact on our society. Many of these impacts have been positive, but there have been negative ones too.

Working in a small group, discuss each of the developments in IT that are listed in the table below. Decide what the positive benefits have been and what the negative drawbacks are.

Disadvantages to Individuals in the IT Industry are:

• The cost of products, etc.
• Might not be any jobs around that area
• On your own there is nobody to help input ideas and go over your ideas.
• You're to blame if something goes wrong

Advantages to Individuals

The advantages for individuals in the IT Industry is:

• More jobs can be available
• Can use different websites, etc.
• Have an understanding in how a computer works, this opens up a variety of different experiences.
• Makes everyday life easier by being able to use software's such as Microsoft word, etc.

On Thursday,

• My first class was Communication in the IT Industry, i came in and done Powerpoint presentations. 
• My next class was Tutorial computing, I started making the blog. 
• In web development I started the 3 tasks given (web architecture etc). 
• Information and Communication and Technology was my third class, i done presentations.

On Friday,

• I had communication, we went over what levels people were sitting.
•  Computer systems, we watched clips on the internet.
• Installing computer software, we watched clips.
• Installing computer hardware, we watched clips and learned how to clean a computer

On Tuesday,

• Working in the IT Industry, i started making my powerpoint presentation on myself
• Customising Software, 
• Working with others, we went into groups and done an exercise on who had done charity work.
• Numeracy, we done Decimal points, etc.

Today,

• Communication in the IT industry, done our presentations
• Tutorial Computing, continued with presentations
• Website Development, continued with the 3 tasks and went onto extension work.
• Information and Communication Technology, updated blog.
